Rising Star Award Trading Cards
Scope
This project focused on reimagining the West Gippsland Football Netball Competition’s player awards as a tangible keepsake. The work involved developing a visual format that could elevate the presentation of awards.
The goal was to transform a standard certificate-based award into a collectible trading card system that celebrated individual achievement. The design needed to feel special and contemporary, while still aligning with the competition’s identity and being suitable for printing at multiple sizes.
Intention
The outcome was a series of custom-designed trading cards that presented player achievements in a more engaging and memorable format, turning award moments into lasting keepsakes for players, families, and clubs.

“We gave Nate a very boring description of what we were looking for, after consultation with him he showed us his idea’s of turning this into something dynamic. The end result was way above our expectations, it turned what would have been just another boring framed certificate into an exciting expression of the athlete’s ability and a keepsake I know they were overwhelmed with.”
